Research Group: Robust Machine Intelligence and Control Lab

Dr. Lagoa joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at Penn State University in August 1998, where he currently holds the position of Professor. He has a wide range of research interests including robust control, controller design under risk specifications, robust and chance constrained optimization, system identification, control of computer networks and discrete event dynamical systems. In 2000, Dr. Lagoa received the NSF CAREER award for his proposal on system design under risk constraints Dr. Lagoa is currently Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology. He is also a member IFAC Technical Committee on Robust Control and IEEE-CSS Technical Committee on System Identification and Adaptive Control. Dr. Lagoa was also been a member of the organizing committee for several conferences and workshops.
