Catherine's job responsibilities include:

  • Lead projects related to learning technologies development. Provide consultation to faculty and staff in the design and structure of instructional solutions for active and collaborative, computer-mediated, and distributed learning. Create learning resources and related documentation as dictated by course design.
  • Provide advice and guidance in the design of systems, concepts and solutions, including outcomes assessment. Establish processes and procedures for data collection, data reduction, and data analysis. Utilize statistical applications as needed to support program or course design and development. Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop appropriate evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of computer-based instruction in the curriculum.
  • Design and conduct training workshops in instructional design strategies for faculty and students. Manage a multimedia instructional development center and oversee assigned staff.
  • Act as liaison with University organizations, committees and task forces that promote instructional design, learning theory and technologies innovations. Stay up-to-date with trends in eLearning through research and relevant professional development opportunities.

Catherine is generally available 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM; she usually does not take a lunch.
