Vitae

Dr. Constantino M. Lagoa received the B.S. degree and M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, Technical University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal in 1991 and 1993 respectively and Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in 1998. In August 1998, he joined the Electrical Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University, where he is currently an associate professor.

Dr. Lagoa's research interests include application of probability to robustness analysis and control, robustness analysis and control of nonlinear systems, discrete event dynamical systems and control of computer networks. The main goal of his present research is to develop a new framework for system analysis and controller design which addresses the limitations of classical robustness theory.
