Welcome to the Electrical Engineering Graduate Web Page at the Pennsylvania State University - University Park. The Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering emphasizes the practical application of electrical sciences and technology to the needs of society. The program is designed to help prepare students for industry, teaching, and research careers. The Department offers graduate study leading to the degrees of Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy with specialization areas in communications, computer vision and pattern recognition, networking, signal and image processing, control systems, power systems, electro-optics and non-linear optics, microwaves, antennas and propagation, remote sensing and space systems, circuits and networks, materials and devices, and VLSI. Faculty members associated with each of these areas have technical interests that overlap with other graduate programs, such that many research projects have a multidisciplinary flavor. Most students in Electrical Engineering pursue research-oriented degrees, though an option at the Master of Science level is offered to emphasize advanced course work. For more information about the graduate program, feel free to browse this page using the menu at the left .
