Each semester, the EE Department hires students for the following part-time jobs within the Department.

  • lab assistants
  • Equipment Room (preference is given to undergraduates with a work study grant)
INSTRUCTIONS FOR WAGE PAYROLL POSITIONS IN E.E.

Hourly rates:

  • Grader or Lab Assistant - undergrad $8.50, grad $10.00
  • Department Helper - $8.50
  • Equipment Room - $8.50

Applications are accepted during the first week of each semester.

Submit a separate form for each job and each course, e.g. Grader 210, Grader 310, Lab
Assistant 210, (change the fields accordingly). DO NOT SUBMIT MORE THAN ONCE PER COURSE.

You will be notified by e-mail within a week or two if you are selected.

The maximum number of hours for the semester for a grader is determined by the number of students in the class and the course level
(200 and 300 are 1 hour per student per semester, 400 is 1.5 hours per student, and 500 level is determined by the Department Head).

The number of hours for the week for a lab assistant is determined by the number of sections being covered (which considers the amount of time in the classroom) plus one extra hour per week per course for preparation.
