Science Laboratory
There are over 50 historical markers around the main campus recognizing the achievements of faculty and programs. Electrical Engineering West has had a marker recognizing the construction of the first digital computer on campus that was designed and operated in West building. Most recently approval has been given for a historical marker for the Electrical Engineering East building recognizing the achievements of the world-class laboratory, then called the Ionosphere Research Lab. Dr Arthur Waynick was the founder and director of that laboratory.
