Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates
Program in Electrical Engineering

Application Eligibility

  • US citizen or US permanent resident status required (per NSF regulation).
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university with at least one year in college by June and at least one more semester before graduation after the summer.
  • Must be available for the entire duration of the 9-week program (day after Memorial Day until end of July).

Students majoring in EE/ECE and related engineering fields are encouraged to apply. Students majoring in physics, chemistry, mathematics, and related science fields who are interested in pursuing graduate studies in electrical engineering areas are also welcome to apply.

Women students, students of underrepresented minority groups, students of HBCU schools, and those with physical disabilities, are especially encouraged to apply.

PSU students at non-University Park Campuses are welcome to apply.

PSU students at University Park Campus are considered if sponsored by an EEREU faculty. Please contact potential faculty mentor or the program director for possibilities of individual support (and include such information in online application).
